29 Jan 2011 FAN-MEETING IN SEOUL
Other eels said, the standard of Jang Keun Suk’s live singing today was extremely high. Those of us in the performance hall were utterly entranced by him. I count myself lucky that the very first JKS performance I attended was super great! Indescribable – I have seen many online videos of JKS’ singing, but his singing today was much, much better than all his previous performances!

After standing for most of the day, I was already feeling faint, so apologies if I cannot describe all the details. I don’t even remember the sequence of the songs he sang. = = sorry.

JKS himself is a treasure trove of words!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I estimate that I have missed out quite a bit of what he said, because my focus was on the interview segment… As for his voice, the atmosphere and feelings, I have no words to describe it.

At around one plus in the afternoon, we arrived at axhall. The first thing we saw was the gigantic-sized performance poster hung outside the venue. Many members were eagerly collecting their official membership card and notebook at the tents beside the venue. There were only two of JKS photographs inside the notebook which was a light peach red. There were many overseas fans at this performance, and I often heard a smattering of Mandarin, Cantonese and also Japanese, and the Japanese eels were mostly mature ladies.

JKS said before that he would distribute Ole candy to eels at the performance, and so he did. When we entered the hall, staff gave each of us a box of Ole candy. The one I got was the lollipop that JKS often ate, so happy!

The hall was really very, very beautiful. It was not very big, and the T stage extension in the centre was very long, so even those eels sitting far behind had the chance of seeing JKS very clearly. Our seating positions were in Area B, not too front and not too far back. We waited for a long time. A big piece of cloth hid the stage from view, and music played continuously in the background. The eels present were very restless, and when it was time for the performance to start, a mixture of screams and continous chanting of “Jang Keun Suk, Jang Keun Suk, Jang Keun Suk” erupted from us.

Yes! The music then changed into the familiar notes of “My Bus”. Suddenly, the curtains on stage dropped, revealing JKS and his band. The stage lights kept flashing, and I couldn’t see the stage clearly. This feeling of being so near but not being able to see anything made me very anxious. I could only see the top half of JKS from amidst the crowd. His hairstyle was similar to the one he sported when he came back from his previous Japan trip; I love this hairstyle! JKS sang “My Bus” with much feeling.

After the song, he introduced his band, who seemed to be fantastic musicians. He also introduced his general plans for this year. He said he wanted to do a Lounge H Asia Tour, encompassing Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand and later he added Malaysia. Eels asked, what about Japan? I nearly fainted at JKS’ mischievous reply that Japan is not part of Asia Tour, because he is planning a Japan performance tour throughout Japan. He also filmed his new MV while he was last in Japan. He will also be undertaking a new movie at the end of the year which he accepted one year ago, and the movie will probably premiere in summer next year. We asked him who the female lead was; many fans were whispering “is it sister Ye Sul”. JKS looked at his manager Kim standing on stage left and gave a reserved answer that he could not tell us because it was not confirmed.

JKS also shared the story about the sweeping changes behind the last episode of “Marry me Mary” (M3), which we all knew already. And the filming for the last episode continued until the very evening of its broadcast, because of the delay caused by the previous horrible script which made the actors say they could not act that, so there was a change in script. He also said something about filming a DVD and photograph book overseas.

When sharing about the release of his album in Japan, he said, “Because I’m still young, I want to try things that I want to do!” He had received the Japanese offer to release an album one year ago, and JKS said frankly that music producers seldom gave actors good songs. So JKS had been waiting, until he heard the song “My Precious”, he then and there decided that he wanted to work with M3 music producer, thus he started to work on his album.

He said that in order to have closer interaction with the fans, he did not invite the media, and that what he told us would “remain a secret between us” and that “it is enough that we know”.

JKS is very busy; he said his schedule is full until December, and that he has only rested for one day since M3 ended. Also, he only slept for one hour before today’s performance, so his shoulders and back were aching. He joked that after 20 years old, he is really getting old now. JKS also told us that Kim has been promoted! Congratulations!

Next, the band exited the stage and Kang Mu-Gyul’s band made their entrance. I don’t know their names – the leader, one who looked liked Kong You and the youngest one. The leader has been on Twitter and Facebook a lot recently. He said that JKS, as the lead actor, naturally had many scenes to film, so it was very tiring. Despite this, JKS has never refused an invitation to go out for drinks, and always drank heartily. The leader felt that JKS was a real man! He related that, no matter how busy they were with filming, they would often continue to drink happily for two hours, then sleep for one hour before going back to filming.

The next funny incident related by the leader was, once, the leader was really drunk, and he was worried about what he should do when he got to the filming set. In the end when he reached the set, he saw JKS was lying on the ground, even more drunk than him! So his worries were laid to rest, hahaha!

JKS said that he and the bandmembers, till now, still take the time to meet up for drinks, and are still in contact with one another as they treasure the strong friendship they had built up.

The bandmember who looked like Kong You is actually a real musician (born in 1970s). JKS praised him for his excellent singing talent, and in return, the guy said that JKS is very humble.

When the youngest bandmate appeared, he got the most cheers. He said that it was his first time acting in a drama, and JKS was of great help to him and taught him a lot. JKS teased the youngest bandmate by saying that although he looked handsome, he looked like one of JKS’ colleagues. I suddenly remembered, really, they look alike! With eels cheering on, JKS pulled his colleague up onto the stage and had the two of them stand together. They really looked like brothers! All of us were laughing madly.

Before Kang Mu-Gyul bandmembers exited the stage, JKS hugged each of them in farewell. Next, JKS sang “My Precious”. His live singing was so fantastic, and we also did ourselves proud by singing together with him.

When JKS was chatting with the fans, we did raise our lightboards occasionally, and we kept discussing when we should shout out our cheer, but JKS was really very chatty. He had so many things to say. When we were about to shout our cheer, he would start talking about another topic, and we could not find a chance to shout our cheer. Then we managed to grab the chance when JKS paused in between his talking, and the three of us shouted in Chinese, “Jang Keun Suk, you are great!” It was such a common, cliché cheer, but it was the only one that JKS understood anyway = = . Who asked him not to learn Chinese? At the time of our cheer, the hall was very quiet, and the others laughed when we finished cheering. And JKS was really …. he did not even acknowledge us or respond to our cheer. When he was singing, we continued to raise our lightboards, and finally managed to attract his attention. Mission accomplished! Satisfied!

After that was the segment where eels asked their questions. One eel asked, who is the female artiste that JKS likes to work with most? Many eels were saying Ha Ji Won. JKS’ reply was Moon Geun Young. He said that MGY’s character was very similar to his. They are the type who do not compromise, so both of them often had their little quarrels and debates during filming. When JKS first got to know MGY, he felt that, oh, so in this world there is someone whose character is so similar to his.

A Chinese eel managed to attract JKS’ attention, haha, well, because the eels around her pushed her out. She asked, “When will ….” JKS couldn’t catch the rest of what she asked, so other eels helped to re-phrase the question in Korean, which is, “When will you drink with eels?” JKS answered, some eels become frightening after they drink, so he dared not drink with them.

Oh yes, JKS also introduced a smartphone application to us – a concept similar to having the official website on the phone. This application allows the user to view his schedule and videos. JKS will also personally upload photographs, for example, live pics of his current working set. He said this is even more practicable than the official website. And once JKS leaves messages, everyone can see them immediately and reply on the spot, like Twitter. However, JKS also asked us not to rely too much on this smartphone application as the main mode of online communication will still be via the official website.

Speaking of the official website, I recall that JKS also raised the issue of members not being able to log in to the official website recently. JKS even asked Kim, how do other artistes solve these log-in problems? Manager Kim replied calmly, other artistes don’t even face this type of problem. Because it is only JKS’ official website that face the problem of high online traffic every day, with millions of visits daily. I can only say, JKS is too popular! Popular until his website cannot take it and become paralysed. Haha!

JKS then started to introduce his last song for the event, which he said is the song he liked best. That’s right, the song is “I will promise you”. We really could not bear to part with him, but we knew that he would definitely come out again for the encore. Haha, after we screamed for a short while for the encore, he re-appeared and sang the song we love, “Hello Hello”.

Today’s performance was simply too fantastic, and coupled with the sound effects of the venue, the whole performance was simply stunning. Towards the end, I forgot which song he was singing then, he walked down from the T-stage extension, probably because he was too engrossed in singing. In front of the T-stage, nearest to the audience, JKS knelt down and, full of feeling, closed his eyes. Wow, he was right in front of us, two metres away. We simply froze and just gazed at him.

There is a limit to what my memory can store … the first round, the fan-meeting had ended. Please look forward to my account of Lounge H performance, coming soon!

The last sentence … … JKS is really, really handsome today!

PART II Tracing Sukkie's Footsteps -20/Jan

Sukkie hugged us after he gave his autographs… Kyaaa~ he really hugged me…undescribable feelings… Yes, he is thin but in the way, he is very manly…

My HTG was there with a big heart, stood right in front of me… Later on, my friend told me he smelled good. Gosh, I should have sniffed him, hehe. I was extremely happy I was in his arms…felt like I was in heaven….

Our introduction part was over, we were into the conversations with Suk.

Me: Sukkie, thx for uploading that camping car’s pix in Cri-J Japan yesterday, U want us to find out where U were, right? U r again playing a game w/us. Without that pic, we would not find u here… we just saw this car parked in here from our taxi on the road..

How was MV shooting in Jiyugaoka? Blah-blah- blah
Suk turned around n look at the car n replied us something, but I forgot… he was also smiling…I was intrigued every move he made…I got an impression that he seemed happy that we caught him. As I wrote before, we talked in English non-stop…
My biggest regret was I should have let him speak more…sigh…

As all of us were talking in the parking lot, some car pulled over n parked near us, it made us move bit more towards to Sukkie. I was way closer to him again!!! Lucky us!! Thanks 2 the driver who parked there, haha.

Another conversation we had with Sukkie, I can’t disclose, sorry, It has be to sealed.
I give u a tip, here are the words what he said exactly, “7am??? Too early!!" “Underground”
Haha, it was part of our conversations lah~

Sukkie started to talk to us about Lounge H. My friend told him she has been there back in Nov. I told him I couldn’t get in, waited him outside all night long.
He seemed so happy to hear she was actually inside.
I guess he really wanna hear how Japanese fans felt about his 1st Lounge H in Tokyo.
Suk: Oh, U were there? Did U go to the club in xxxxx ? (Suk did say the name of the place, not the club name, I was amazed he did remember that, pronounced it correctly, I am sure he is familiar with Tokyo Club scenes, haha^^) How was it?
Did U like it?
My friend: Fantastic, I really enjoyed. Music was great, but it was too crowded…I fell…
Me: Aiyoh…Sukkie, I couldn’t get in, only lucky 400eels could…
Suk: That club was too small, the coming up Lounge H will be much better! ( he said it very out loud, yayeeee!!)

Me: Really? Zepp Tokyo!! I really wanna go this time, but there will be another lucky draw., pheeeew (Sukkie did not know the logistics, it was all new to him, I guess he wasn’t told)Zepp Tokyo could only accommodate max 2,500ppl.

Lucky draw will take place this FRIDAY, tomorrow!!! Sukkie, pls. wish me luck ne!
I’d keep my fingers crossed. I really really wanna go!! ( I kinda begged him, haha)
Suk: yeah ( I think he said to me hope 2 C U n U could get in… Gosh, I was so talkative, how come I don’t recall exact his words… stupid of me, maybe I should ask my friend to go over this n edit later. Anyway Suk wished me luck in person, guess what?
I could go to Lounge H next month lah~)

Suk: Guess what? I will sing new songs in Lounge H, hope u r gonna like it.

Us: Kyaaaa~ new songs??? Of course, we love 2 hear!!
Suk: A-ha
Us: Right after U came back from Thailand, heard u went recording in Korea.
These were your own songs????
Suk: yeah, my own songs, I did record’em.
Us: Kyaaaa~ (we were in such a shock to hear these great news from Suk in person, directly!!!)Suk: My debut CD to be released in March
Us: In Japan????
Suk: Yeap, in Japan
Us: Gyaaaaaa~ ( I could hit the ceiling if any…) Singing debut in Japan????So happy to hear that, Sukkie, we love your voices, u r so good at singing, we’ll support u 150%... Blah-blah- blah
Sukkie seemed happy to hear our screaming!!
Me: Thumbs UP!! ( I even showed 2 thumbs up to him, gosh, I was so close to him)

Us: We’ll buy your CDs definitely !!!

Sukkie’s lunch break was about to finish, he gave us last hugs, another ones!!!
Omg!! It was kinda lon-----g embracement.
I embraced him pretty tight…. Kyaaaaa~ I never ever forget his smiles, I was under the spell of his charms. I didn’t wanna let him go…
He talked to us very frankly, I did not feel any borders between us, he didn’t act like he was a SUPER STAR, it was just JKS, himself, enjoying his time off.
I was delighted to have such a great encounter with him under the perfect conditions!!

Us: Thanks for getting off the car n meet us. We love U, Sukkie!! Bye Cri~

As he went back to the car, he turned around many times, waved his hand at us….gosh, I wish I could stop the time n captured our sweet moments.

Sukkie was inside of the car… for how long? 20 more mins or so? My brains were dead after everything happened, couldn’t keep truck of the time…

When the lunch break was over, Sukkie got out of the camping van, rode to the other van, took off to Sangenjyaya, his next MV shooting location. It was prob around 1:30pm???He was at café called Deborah, it happened to be one of my favorite café. I used to hang out a lot with my ex-BF, haha, sweet memories.

Pls. be noted I did not follow Sukkie afterwards, I was extremely happy, just shared great moments with him, no need to chase him lah~

He came back to the parking lot to change his clothes around 5pm, rode to the black lexus. My other friend were there to say hi to Sukkie. He pulled down the windows, gave his smile again, but he looked bit tired according to my friend.

Sukkie went back to Sangenjya around 5:30pm ish, he started to shoot MV with Mina Fujii at Setagaya Maruyama Park. They did shoot Sukkie crying scene there.
MV production team finished shooting around 8pm.

At the same time, around 5pm (When Sukkie returned to the parking lot), I went back to some place to do some errands, totally taking care of private matters, not related to Sukkie but guess who I run into again? Gun-sama (Kim Byung Gun ssi) lah~
I was not sure he did remember me, but he gave me a smile. I started speaking English, but he seemed to have troubles understanding. “Do U speak English?” He said “just a little” My convo with gestured started. He told me “U are keun-Suk fan” I said “Of course, that’s why I’m talking to ya now !!” LOL. I asked him to take a photo, but he said sorry, no… again…

I told him “thank you for taking care of our prince J all the time, u too make a great team!”

He told me “THANK U “with his big smile on, I almost gonna hug him, haha.
He had I-phone on his right hand. Again, I did not follow him afterwards.
I went to the ladies room and found out my hair was such a mess n my cheeks were so red, blushed… all the excitements I had with Suk, didn’t realize how stupid look I had in front of him… aiyoh..hey, I was standing in cold, what can I do? How pity…

Tracing Sukkie's Footsteps -20/Jan
Sukkie showed up at Watashi No Heya
http://www.watashino...aoka/index.html
around 10am 4 MV shooting. Shooting was held inside of the store n pedestals.

He also went back to Buriki no Zyoro, the florist, then took off around 11:40am (I don’t know the exact time)
http://buriki.jp/home/

Pls. be noted I was not in Jiyugaoka in the morning.

We took a cab NOT from Jiyugaoka, NOT following Sukkie, came from different direction n spotted his camping car parked in the parking lot around noon. Can U imagine how excited I was???

Suk was inside of the car with 2 managers Gun-sama, Song Eun Suk. MV shooting team were all outside, I assumed Sukkie was taking a break. I kept very quietly n was just standing, coz I did not want 2 bother him. It was not shooting location, his own private time, U know how I respect 4 his privacy, right?

When Gun-sama came out, I called him Gun-chan, not Keun-chan he gave us a smile, haha. He seemed busy taking phone calls, he had Sukkie's itinerary on his hand, looked like his schedule was quite packed.

When Song Eun Suk came out, I passed him my letter to Suk, my friend brought some Japanese snacks 4 him. He made sure he’d pass them on to Suk.

So at least Suk knew we were the ones who waited 4 him 2 get out patiently.

Catering Van has arrived, these platters were nicely made 4 Suk n staff members. Glad to see Sukkie was not eating regular cheesy lunch box, haha.

We were just happy to stand in the parking lot, just thinking of Sukkie waiting 4 him to get out. It was a perfect situation, no other fans were there, just us, so private.

All of sudden Sukkie came out of the camping car, I was going nuts just to see his whole body…I was not staring, just couldn’t stop looking at him.
Whenever I saw him, all I remembered was his bust shots, except FMs. Was I calm that day? Or it was just a few staffs around him, not crowded, surrounded by the fans, I took a long look at Sukkie.

OMG, the way he stands on the street, he was something, so beautiful, so stunning.
The man of my dream, Hwang Tae Kyung was there just in front of me!!

His hair was tied up just like HTG (kyaaaa~), he wore sky-blue knit thin sweater, the inner was white, he really stands out, breathtaking!!! He gave us a biggest smile ever and said hi. He seemed very relaxed. He stood just in front of us. (so close!!! I felt like I was in heaven lah~)

I think at first, we called him Keun-chan…. Not Sukkie.
So many words in English came out of my mouth, he was kinda surprised to see us speaking English. At first he had a hard time listening but once he gets used to it, we were able to have proper conversation. When he went on Asia tour, I guess he was well prepared for English interviews, etc. I guess he just need to adjust a bit, switch to his English mode.

Some of the conversation I had with him were confidential, can’t disclose here, but other than that, I could share it with you overseas eels.

Our fist convo- sealed.
Me: Did U get my letter?
Suk: Ah~ what?
Me: I said L E T T E R so slowly.
Me: The letter was in Pink Envelop, I left it with your manager.
My friend: I brought some Japanese snack for you.
Suk: He turned around looking back the camping car, talked with his manger then said YEAH, thanks.

Suk: (Literally out of blue) When are you guys going back?
Me: (His question astonished us) Huh? What do you mean us going back?
Suk: (I think he said you guys are International eels, or something like we came from overseas)
Me: Huh? We do live here. (we laughed hard )no, Sukkie , we are Japanese eels.

Suk looked very very surprised with his eyes wide open. Funny he thought we were foreigner

Suk: How come u speak such good English? (Hey suk, my English is NOT that good, truth, bit better than my writing)
Me: Coz I’m smart, just kidding
Suk: Huh~ (He really sounded like HTG or KMG, one of his lines in the dramas…gosh I love the way he speaks English)
Me: As I don’t speak Hangul, I use English so that we could communicate well.
Suk: But I do speak Japanese. (kyaaa~ I love the way he sounded)
Me: Yeah, of course, we wanna hear u speak Japanese also, Speak more!
Suk: (Gosh, I forgot… he start speaking to me in Japanese as well, I forgot what he said.

U know how I was excited n got emotional, I was so talkative, I kept on talking to him, just like machine gun, never stops)
I think he said Ore Nihongo Dekiruyo in Japanese. Means I can speak Japanese in manly ways.

Me: May I take a picture of you?
Suk: Ah~ ( He acted like it was okay with his smile on but he looked at the MV shooting members, then said) Sorry, no… Autograph, okay

He shook hands with my friend then gave her his autograph.
While he was giving her his autograph, we kept on talking to him.
Next was my turn, I think I shook hands with him, first, but my memories are gone.. so many excitements happened so quickly… couldn’t keep truck.
He asked my name, Onamae ha? (He sounded so softly, cute in Japanese with good pronouciation)

I was still hyped up, even he asked me in Japanese, I answered him in English, xxxx, I spelled out in English again… it was our eyes to eyes moments, he looked at me again, Enlgish??? Silly me, I should have said Hiragana. he wrote in Japanese To: xxxxchan he with heart (*dies) Hi Cri~

When he wrote chan in Japanese, he went like, oops, I forgot, I made a mistake
Are Chi tte dou kakundakke? Atteru? How do I write CHI, was I correct?
Oh adorable Suk, U were right.

He sort of forgot how to spell chi in Japanese, pheew, he was bit bashful (cute!)
I said, same spelling as Jang, your last name, he managed to write down perfectly.
When he wrote Hi Cri~ He said hi cri- as well.

While he was giving me his autograph, I was holding the clear file, his hand touched mine, too, kyaaaa~ when he gave the pen back to me, he put black ink on my finger.
Something to remember, right??? Stupid of me…

There were also another convo I can’t disclose.
Suk: (He was very surprised) How did u know? Gosh he was irresistible!
Me: I have my own ways!
Suk: A~ha… smiled his lips bit raised… u know his face reactions…

I was standing so closely to him, he had such a sharp chin, his eyes were so beautiful, his eye bags were not noticeable at all. His skin condition seemed perfect on that day!

Only he got bit of congested eyes.
His face was so white n shiny n shimmer!! Off course he still is pockmarked face, I could see his pocks on his cheek, see his pores as well, U can tell how I was close to him, right?

I could see his face very very up close. Only 20cm away, maybe between us? All I could say… was he was stunning n so white. My first impression of him was blue n white, he was standing under the beautiful blue sky.
Given it was cold January, the sky was so blue, spotless, such a beautiful brisk winter whether, his sky blue knit thin sweater matches perfectly.

Am I writing way too much? Let me wrap it up here.

FAN ACCOUNT: JKS in Guangzhou-Jan.5,2011

FAN ACCOUNT
It’s nearly 10 days since JKS’ trip to Guang-zhou left me with many feelings. After he left, I forced myself not to think of him and to study hard for my examinations.

Day One (2 Jan 2011)
I left home at 8 am and waited at the airport for 9 hours. No complaints, because I want to meet JKS in my own city. Complicated feelings assailed me amidst the cold. Even my hands were frozen. I kept asking myself, is this worth it? I did not have an answer for myself. Laughing at myself for being foolish, I still feel that one needs to be foolish a few times in life. Hence, I shall follow my heart and fulfil my wish.

There weren’t many people at the airport at 9 am plus, but slowly as time passed, more eels congregated. By noon, still no sign of JKS but many eels were dead tired and sitting down. At 1 pm plus, we received confirmation that JKS had boarded the plane, putting our worries to rest. Around 3 pm as the time drew near, eels grew more restless.

Finally at 5.05pm, JKS walked out slowly. Different from what I expected, JKS had straight black hair and was wearing a black shiny leather jacket. He felt cool and cold, or maybe it was because the weather in Guang-zhou was too cold that day. As he exited Customs, an eel fell and overturned the railing amidst the jostling crowd, which gave JKS a scare too.

I didn’t follow JKS and instead contacted the pre-arranged car. After my friends followed JKS to his car, they came back and we jumped into our car. The Benz JKS was in was speeding, so we lost it. We thought that JKS had gone to the city, that was what Jason had said but it was not true. He went to Pan Yu. As our car team was professional in pursuing celebrities, every driver on the team kept in contact on the road.

One team called me to inform that JKS’ car drove off in the direction of Bei-Hua city, so we turned around and continued our chase. Soon, we arrived at JKS’ hotel and waited there, chatting and taking photographs.

JKS had his meal in his room. Not long after, JKS came out of his hotel room and went to the restaurant. The group of eels, as if entranced by him, just followed him into the restaurant. Most of them rushed in, but I kept to my usual slow walking pace. By the time my group entered, we felt there were no more empty tables. As we made our way slowly further in, we came to realise that good things usually come last, haha! I spotted an empty table, which was nearest to JKS, and we settled down there, to the envious eyes of the other eels.

However, I did not dare to look directly at JKS, because I did not want to look like a crazy fangirl staring at JKS with star-filled eyes. I talked to a friend over my mobile for about 10 minutes, while one JKS employee kept monitoring me to see if I was secretly taking photographs of JKS. Of course, I didn’t. I’m a good girl and won’t do such things!!! I promise ~~~

After some time, JKS could no longer sit still. Actually, he had already had his meal in his room, but he came out to the restaurant to allow fans to see him. On his way out of the restaurant, JKS stopped beside me and said to us, “Enjoy dinner cri.”

I was mesmerised by JKS and was wondering whether I should extend my hand for a handshake. But because of the cold weather, my hands were extremely cold and I was afraid that he would be uncomfortable if he shook my frozen hands, so I didn’t stretch out my hand. While I was still hesitating, my friends all shook hands with JKS. Now I’m overwhelmed with regrets that I didn’t! They said that JKS’ hands were warm and their hands were as cold as mine! So mad! Why was I foolishly thinking about the question of cold hands and miss out on the chance?

After that, we went to a nearby coffee house to wait. After some time, a friend rushed in and said that she saw JKS, who said hi to her and ran out, hopped onto a car and sped off. We rushed after JKS in our car, along with another car but lost him in the surrounding mountainous area as it was dark. When I called friends still in the hotel restaurant, no one knew that JKS had gone out….

Day Two was windy, raining and chilly. On day one, we had stood for 9 hours at the airport and 3 hours at the hotel, so we took a much-needed break and did not follow JKS around. All we knew was that after he had lunch at a restaurant, he did the disappearing act again.

Day Three (4 Jan 2011)
Now comes the exciting part. It was cold but not raining. At 3.40pm, we reached the part of the hotel where JKS was filming, and there were many eels. I blended into the observing crowd and saw our great JKS practising on the skateboard. It finally felt real to me, that JKS was not a figure on television but a real person in front of my eyes. His skateboarding skill was quite weak and he was practising hard, slowly learning it like a child. The director called him then and he went over to another spot to do his street dance.

After putting on make-up, JKS radiated a different feeling from the 1st day at the airport. He is really very attractive, and looks like a big star. He’s really born to be a celebrity, with a smile like that of an innocent child, and he was much happier than on day one.

I moved closer to where the crew was working. I thought those men in front were drivers, but they turned out to be bodyguards. In order to get the best viewing position, I stood behind them but they ignored me as if I were transparent. I had to suffer the smoke from their cigarettes though. Great, I could quietly watch JKS dancing. Even though the dance moves were simple, the effect of JKS doing it was simply different. He’s great!

At 3.48pm, the director called for a break. Ten metres away, I saw JKS leave the scene. Then I moved to another spot behind the camera. JKS was on his break for about an hour. I was quietly fiddling with my mobile, and the crew were busy with their work. Maybe I looked like I wasn’t going to cause trouble, so when JKS re-appeared, I sat down in the area designated for the crew. The crew were nice people and they didn’t chase me away. Being calm and collected is definitely a good thing. I continued to fiddle with my mobile and browse through my magazine.

JKS started work. I put down my magazine and stared at him. He was practising with the skateboard again and had to perform some difficult moves, we were all worried that he would fall. But JKS is JKS, after a while he accomplished his skateboard moves and went elsewhere to do more filming. I didn’t follow him but strolled around the hotel premises in a calm manner such that no one would think I was there to pursue celebrities. That’s right, haha, I pretended I was just a passer-by.

After filming, JKS returned to his hotel room probably to wash up. As I was too cold, I went to wait in the car while others took over at the hotel. We waited hours until 8 pm plus. As it was too cold, my other friends came back to the car. At that moment, we received a call from another friend at the hotel to inform that JKS had come out. We got ready to follow JKS. Our experienced car driver had parked his car at a spot near the exit, so when JKS’ car came out, we immediately followed. There were only 2 cars that managed to catch up to JKS – one was us and the other was from Sina. Driver, you are great!!

The driver tailed JKS’ car calmly, and even managed to supersede his car a few times. Out of the city, JKS’ car stopped at a reputed seafood wholesaler for a meal. I actually wanted to go into the restaurant, not because of JKS, but because I love seafood and I was absolutely famished. Two of us went to buy some food.

After waiting 30 minutes in the carpark, I needed to go to the washroom. I didn’t know the way and asked the restaurant manager where it was. I also asked which room JKS was in. Thinking that I was a worker (they always think I am), he pointed out which room JKS was in. Then I happily went off to the washroom. Guess who I met there?

Hahaha, not JKS but a lady from HS Net who wears branded clothes. She recognised me as a fan. Remaining calm, I washed my hands quietly, ignored her and walked out of the washroom slowly. It was effective. She couldn’t jump on me if I was well behaved. Nothing happened and she returned to her room. Even funnier, Jason came out of the room. Now I understood. There was no en-suite restroom in their dining room, so who knows, later JKS might need to come out to the restroom too.

I greeted Jason and my friend asked whether we could take a photograph with JKS. Initially, he rejected our request adamantly, saying it was not fair to other fans and that JKS did not like to be disturbed during mealtimes. I said, “It’s all right then. If JKS doesn’t like it, then we should not do what he doesn’t like. Let’s go.”

Jason walked towards his room but turned back to us after a few steps, saying, “If you’re willing to wait 30 to 40 minutes, he will take a photograph with you when he comes out.”

Haha, my happiness could not be described. No matter whether Jason was bluffing me, it was enough that he expressed this concession. After waiting for 5 minutes, I felt that 30 minutes was too long to wait and if I waited, it would be unfair to my friends in the car as I would delay them later. Another reason why I didn’t want to wait was my attire that day was too ugly and made me look fat …. Haha. It’s sad when a fat person has to stand next to a thin person. And I had dark eye bags after a few days of insufficient sleep. So I dragged my friend away. I feel I would have another chance in future to take a photograph. Remain calm!

Back in the car, I was feeling unhappy, not because of the missed chance to take a photograph with JKS, but that JKS was enjoying his feast in the restaurant while the whole carload of us could only eat takeaway food in the car. I came to empathize with the job the paparazzi had, and promised not to use unkind words on them in future. Their professionalism deserves our respect.

After waiting for a long time, JKS’ car came out, but he was not inside. His car led ours on rounds inside the carpark, and someone even told us that JKS had left. We refused to believe that, because we had been guarding the only exit. We continued to wait, and JKS finally appeared.
We continued to tail JKS’ car anxiously, not knowing where their destination was.

All of a sudden, JKS jumped out of his car. We got a big shock, what was he doing? The disappearing act again? JKS continued running, and his manager Kim, surprised by the unexpected move, followed JKS anxiously. JKS took out his camera (or phone?) and took pictures of the Pearl River, laughing as he did so. After that, he ran to Haizhu Bridge to take pictures before returning to his car and resuming the drive.

Less than 2 minutes later, JKS’ impulsive disorder occurred again, he jumped down from his car rapidly …. This time, all the people in his car came down too. I thought they had reached their destination. Then JKS ran towards the bank of Pearl River. Frankly speaking, the night scenery of Pearl River is very beautiful. JKS continued to take pictures of Pearl River and his team of people took photographs together. Envious of those people for having the chance to take photo with JKS…..

We looked on from afar quietly; no one went to disturb him. P.s., so don’t say Chinese eels are not orderly, we are very well behaved. It’s only a minority of eels that we need to take note of. Our eyes were glued to JKS standing by the riverside and genuinely smiling happily. I somehow feel that he wasn’t very happy these few days in Guangzhou, wondering if he was worrying about work or simply that the weather was so cold that the usually lively JKS felt unwell?

Anyway, at this moment by the Pearl River, I saw JKS’ smile with my own eyes. It was obvious that JKS loved Guangzhou’s night scenery, but the Pearl River scenery was not at its prettiest now. The other tourist spot, Guangzhou’s television tower, has beautiful LED lights that might suit JKS’ taste more if he comes here again.

After the photograph-taking at around 11 pm plus, JKS crossed the road. Please note, our JKS does not cross the road like a normal person – he skipped his way across! The traffic was heavy and he gave his team workers a scare. They immediately formed a human ring around JKS so that he could continue to skip merrily across.

Still unaware of their destination, we could only watch JKS cross the road. After a long day of work, JKS should be tired but he still looked bright and alert, skipping along merrily like a child going out to play. Along the way, he smiled and waved at eels. He is really good towards us.

Then, following Jason’s lead, JKS entered the first pub. We could only watch him enter and no one followed, reason being that passports are checked upon entry. Who would bring passports out on the street? And I’m a good girl. I would like to see JKS drink, but it was a pub after all … and we probably should not be disturbing JKS, so we waited quietly for him.

After 15 minutes, JKS and team came out, most likely because JKS did not seem to like it. They continued pub-hopping. It was nearly midnight, and all of us including the driver were very tired. But JKS was not tired yet, so we continued to follow him.

We were outside another pub for less than 20 minutes when we could not take the cold any more, and after discussion, we decided to enter the pub… to drink something warm and keep warm, and we all agreed to the condition that we would not go up to the second floor where JKS was to avoid disturbing him. So long as we were in the same pub as JKS, we were contented … How? Aren’t we well behaved?

We entertained ourselves on the ground floor and were not aware of what went on upstairs. JKS should be drinking happily upstairs and everything was fine so long as JKS was happy.

Then came the benefit…. On 4 Jan at around 1 am plus, JKS came down. We expressed our welcome to see him and maintained orderliness, just watching him leave the pub… As my walking pace was really very slow, I was still in the pub when JKS had left it. Suddenly, everyone came rushing back in again.

I could not grasp the situation and then suddenly, JKS’ manager Kim was already at my side, asking me in broken Chinese, “Can you please give way? JKS wants to “dart”?”

I couldn’t understand his spoken Chinese and said, “What?”

Kim gestured patiently and my slow brain finally grasped the meaning. Kim wanted me to move back a little so that JKS could play darts here!!! I said “Ok Ok” loudly and retreated a bit. Then JKS came nearer, and I was just 30 cm away from Kim, staring hungrily at JKS. There was no one in front of me, and my view was unobstructed. Because I walked slowly, I had my luck, I was standing about 1.5 metres away from JKS …. Maybe Kim recognised me by now, he knew I could remain calm and so did not chase me away…

Jason was patiently teaching JKS the Chinese way of playing darts, and JKS was listening intently, then he started playing… He hit the bull’s eye with his first dart. Everyone let out a gasp of wonder, and many eels applauded. He knew how to play, and he was just being modest when he was listening to Jason’s instructions. When everyone praised him for his skill, his happiness was evident but he just laughed it off.

Then it was Kim’s turn to play. His darts did not even touch the target, we were so anxious for him, and many eels were laughing at Kim’s poor skill. I don’t know whether the rest saw it, but I did. When everyone was laughing at Kim, JKS just watched silently, and when Kim’s darts missed the target and fell on the ground, JKS would pick up each dart, and he did not laugh. Rather, JKS encouraged Kim…. This is friendship. Our JKS treats Kim very well.

JKS would intently watch others play and when he played, if he hit the bull’s eye, he would shout “Yeah” and place his hands on his waist, indicating his pride, with his lips slightly apart and smiled sexily. He was totally like a child. Kim kept playing poorly, and JKS was instructing him without being boastful about it.

It was Kim’s turn to play again. JKS returned to his position opposite me. This time, he was looking at me directly. I wasn’t so sure at first whether he was really looking at me. I smiled at him. He waved a hand to greet me, and I waved at him too. Then he gave me a big smile. Yes, he was definitely looking at me. I wanted to faint at that moment, but I pretended to be calm. Yes, that’s right, my calmness this time was really an act. I was electrified by his smile.

While I still remembered it, I picked up my notebook to note down my feelings at this moment, I was really damn lucky today!!! My notebook-writing attracted the attention of Kim and a team worker. They kept sneaking glances at my notebook, as if wondering what I was writing. I showed them my notebook generously, anyway my handwriting’s messy and they don’t understand Chinese…

At around 32 minutes past midnight, JKS indicated he wanted to have a darts competition. He pressed the buttons on the dart machine. I thought there would really be a match to watch, who knows that JKS’ disorder happened again.

Just as we were looking forward to the match, while nobody noticed him, JKS ran out of the pub and got someone to hold the door fast so that no one could get out. JKS, you’re ruthless! Aren’t you tired of always playing these kids’ games? He stood outside the pub, laughing madly at us through the glass, as if laughing at us for not being able to follow him now and he had successfully escaped. He said “Bye cri!!!” and went off.

I immediately called the driver who was on guard outside and told him to follow JKS, and he actually managed to catch up to JKS. When the locked door finally opened, the lady dressed in branded clothes rushed in, prevented us from leaving and asked loudly whose car was still tailing JKS. I felt guilty.

She said, “Now JKS is very unhappy. No matter which of you the car belongs to, call the car back. If you want to continue to make him unhappy, you can continue to tail him.”

Feeling guilty, we decided to call off our car; our mission tonight failed. We asked the driver to send us to JKS’ hotel and then he could go home. Back at the hotel at 2.30 am, we continued to wait for JKS. While waiting, we went to the room JKS was staying in, which was above our room. We did not knock on the door, but just took some photographs as if it was a scenic sight. Forgive our silly actions, but after all, this was the room that JKS had stayed in.

We waited 3 hours, cold, hungry and sleepy. JKS’ stamina was really great to last one whole day and night! Towards dawn at about 5.30 am, I was just about to ask everyone to do some morning exercise when Jason came back. He asked us whether JKS was back. We ignored him as we felt that he was together with JKS, but JKS was not back yet. Soon, another car came back.

It was JKS. We don’t know whether he was sleeping or drunk or so drunk until he was sleeping, but he was unconscious and couldn’t even stand. Kim and Jason helped JKS down from the car. I had never seen JKS in this state before, and I didn’t feel good seeing him like that. It felt like JKS was so lonely and alone, and my heart ached for him. After watching them go upstairs, we left quietly. We were all dead tired when we got back to our room.

The Last Part – Flight Departure on 5 Jan 2011
After 2 hours of sleep, we got up and got ready. At 10 am, we went to wait for JKS, cold, hungry and tired. At 2 pm, JKS left the hotel after his lunch. We were all standing in 2 orderly rows watching him leave, smiling and waving at us. Finally, he sent us a flying kiss before getting in the car. I was so engrossed in looking at JKS that I forgot what he said.

As I walked too slowly, I delayed the time of our car’s departure and we were far behind JKS’ car. Our driver remained calm and took a shortcut to the airport since JKS’ car was nowhere in sight. We even reached the airport before JKS! Suddenly, we saw JKS’ car behind us, and countless fans’ cars behind his. He was listening to music. He alighted from his car and so did we.

Fans crowded the airport but we maintained orderliness. JKS walked straight to Customs and before he went in, he waved and blew kisses at us. All of us were very excited and JKS seemed happy.

Wishing you a smooth journey, JKS, Guangzhou welcomes you and come back again!!

This account has been released late, and is a record of the first time JKS came to Guangzhou as well as my feelings. The end, and good night!!!

Official website notice from Tree-J

Credit : jangkeunsukforever
Yesterday, Tree-J’s notice caused an uproar in Baidusukbar. Today, I really cannot take it anymore and need to express my personal opinion here. Please finish reading and then decide what you want to do.

(1) Please understand the CY incident in 2008

In 2008, JKS’ character Kang Gun Woo (KGW) in “Beethoven Virus” had different ideals from his teacher and KGW was disrespectful towards his teacher. As Korea is a country steeped in tradition and values emphasizing respect to seniority, JKS’ performance of this character made many Koreans dislike him, the actor as well.
In addition, at that time, being a frank person, JKS liked to express his honest comments and feelings on CY (something like Twitter in Korea). Such frank comments caused some to be unhappy with JKS, and said that JKS was pandering to the public. This earned JKS the negative nickname of “Fake Keun-Suk”. Some even left scathing comments scolding JKS on his CY. In the end, JKS closed his CY, in a way closing the door to his heart.
Eels, at that time, the number of JKS’ fans dropped drastically from tens of thousands to 5,000. You can imagine how tough it was for JKS to pull through that period – how much pressure he was under, facing doubts from the public, the pressure of public comments and the departure of fans.

(2) Reason why JKS is not popular in Korea

I believe that many eels would have felt that JKS is much more popular in countries other than his own. The scene of JKS arriving in Bangkok proves my point, but have we seen such airport scenes in Korea? Just as what JKS has said many times himself, he does not have much popularity in Korea. Why is such an excellent actor not popular in Korea? I think that the CY incident is still affecting JKS today.
One eel has previously described her encounter with a Korean middle-aged man at an airport. The Korean man said that no one liked JKS in Korea, and no one pays attention to JKS too. Some eels think that this man is rude or does not know of JKS. But after reading this, sharp pain pierced my heart! It really reflects a problem – some people in Korea really dislike JKS.
This is mainly due to the CY incident. Koreans are stubborn in their thinking, they will not easily forget these matters. Why does “You Are Beautiful” and “Marry Me, Marry (M3)” have such low ratings in Korea? Besides the fact that these dramas targetted younger viewers, one reason is that audience of older age groups dislike JKS and do not want to watch his dramas!

(3) Please understand Tree-J’s well intentions

Recently, due to criticisms and ratings of “M3″, JKS has been under much pressure with doubts cast on him. He confided his recent feelings and thoughts to us, and many of them are indeed private comments that should not be disclosed to public, such as the internal battle over M3 script and the ratings etc. Once disclosed publicly, it will bring JKS much trouble.
BaiduSukbar is a public place, anyone can enter and see posts. If anyone takes JKS’s blog as a tool to attack him, the CY incident will unfold again.
JKS is, by nature, a frank person. He does not hide his real feelings. Tree-J just wants to protect JKS. Even if their decision is not entirely correct, but when a decision brings more advantages than disadvantages, something has to be sacrificed. Have you all thought about why Tree-J suddenly released this notice? It must be because of JKS’ recent blog comments. Maybe they have been used by some Koreans to attack JKS.

(4) Please understand the administrators and be in their shoes.

The administrators are not wrong. They work without expecting any pay or benefits in return. Everyone is doing what they do because they love JKS. We are a united group. Please put yourself in their shoes and the position of Tree-J in looking at this matter.
The definition of a real eel is not based on whether you pay RMB 120 [official membership fee] or is an official website member or not; it is decided based on your heart! After reading this, please consider and decide. Frankly speaking, I’m not an official website member now. I didn’t join in the past due to concern of money transfer difficulty and because I could read JKS’ translated blog on Baidu. But now, I want to join the official website as member. This is the only way I can support JKS.
Please consider this matter based on your heart and not on money. I end my words here. If you disagree, you can ignore this post. No matter what your decision is, hope that we can be united, because I treat BaiduSukbar as my other home, and really do not wish to see such a divide.
